வழிபாடு குறித்து
மிகத் தெளிவாகக்
குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளனர். தமிழ்
எழுத்து வரலாற்றை
அறிய நடுகற்கள்
பேருதவி புரிகின்றன.அண்மையில் நிகழ்த்தப்படும்
(கீழடி, அழகன் குளம், அரிக்கமேடு) அகழாய்வுகளில் எழுத்துகள்
பொறித்த சுடுமண்
பானை ஓடுகளைக்
கண்டெடுத்துள்ளனர். பானை
ஓடுகளிலும் கல்கருவிகளிலும் காணப்படும் எழுத்துகள் யாவும்
தொன்மைத் தமிழ்
எழுத்துகளே, அவற்றைத் தமிழி என்று கூறாது
பிராமி என்று கூறுவது
ஏனோ..?
”The major problem
with this model is the fact that horses played a very important role in all

Iranian cultures..." (Parpola, 1986) Sidenote: "Vedic" means

any remains of horses have been found so far before 2000 BC. They only appear

Hero Stone / Tombstone
“ The hero
stones are so called because of heroism shown by warriors ao the eve of
fighting in battlefields. They are killed when the arrows pierce their bodies.
References to such hero stones erected in memory of warriors
are found in a number of poems in Sangam literature such as Puurananooru, Akananooru and
Kuruntogai.
Members of
warrior-clan known as Maravars sometimes
sharpen their arrows by scratching them on the wayside tombstones and
hence the names of the warriors inscribed on the stones gets erased. This is
what we understand from poem (297) by
MaruthanIlanaganar in Akananooru.
Erection of hero stones establish the fact of not only a heroic death of the warriors but also the prevalence of literacy in ancient times. These tombstones of heroes are found from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and even beyond up to Kerala. Dr.Kesavaraj has written in his research that in Karnataka there were 397 stones in TamilNadu 202, in Kerala only one stone. The Dept. of Archaeology Tamil Nadu has said that in Tamil Nadu a large number of of such stones are found in North and South Arcot districts. Many hero stones show the figure of the hero stones along with other details. They all indicate the ancienty of Tamil culture.” –Editor.-----தொடரும்….
