பசலை
பசலை, பருவமடைந்த, பெற்றோர் அறியாது
காதல்கொண்ட பெண்களிடத்தில் காதல் கிளர்ச்சியின் காரணமாகப்
பசலை நோய்
தோன்றுகிறது ;
வெளியிட இயலாத
வேறு காரணங்களாலும் மன அழுத்தம் காரணமாகவும்
எவரிடத்து வேண்டுமானாலும் தோன்றலாம்.
பசலை நோய்க்குக்கு
முதன்மைக் காரணி
– மன அழுத்தம்
; அதனால் ஏற்படும்
கவலை, செயல் தடுமாற்றம்,
தூக்கமின்மை, தனிமை, வெறுப்பு, அச்சம், கனவு, இன்னபிறவற்றால் துன்புறுதல்.
மேற்சுட்டியவற்றை மருத்துவ அறிவியலோடு ஒப்பிட்டுப்
பார்க்கும்போது சங்கப்புலவர்களின் அறிவியல் அறிவாற்றல் தெற்றென
விளங்குகிறது.
Beauty spots
/ Sallowness
“ Sangam
literature abounds in references to the
separation of lovers after having closely met and joyously with one another.
The lady, love feels unhappy on the occasion of parting of her lover. A few
cosmetic changes such as Pale-white beauty spots or a provisional sallowness
occur in her body. An indication that she has been infatuated by a young man.
Similar unhappiness occurs when
the lover did not arrive on the season specified. She begins counting the days
and feels extremely saddened. Then comes the sallowness or white patches. The lovelorn
ladies may also suffer from stress and sleeplessness.
Dermatologists speak of discolouration
or mild disfiguration on the
faces, skin and on other parts of bodies because of anxiety, curiosity or worry
. What they authentically speak tally with similar description in ancient Tamil
literature.
In other words, the psychological stress leads to physiological changes on the part of ladies. Invariably poems in Sangam literature that refers to love and romance, describe these changes that are mentioned as beauty spots.
