உ யிர்களின் தோற்றம் ; ஆறறிவு விலங்குகள்.-

தொல்காப்பியர் ‘மக்கள் தாமே ஆறறி வுயிரே ; பிறவும் உளவே அக்கிளைப் பிறப்பே.” என்று கூறியதோடு, அடுத்த நூற்பாவில்
“ ஒருசார் விலங்கும் உளவென மொழிப.” என்றார். விலங்கினுள் ஒரு சாரனவும் ஆறறிவுயிராமென்றவாறு ; அவையாவன் கிளியும், குரங்கும், யானையும் முதலாயின - இளம்பூரணர் உரை. கிளி. குரங்கு, யானை - ஆறறிவு உடையன எனத் தொல்காப்பியர் வழிநின்று கண்டு பிடித்ததோடு அம்மூன்றோடு முதலாயின என்றும் கூறுவதன் நோக்கம் யாதெனின் தம் காலத்திற்குப் பிறகு அறிவியல் அறிஞர்கள் வேறு சில விலங்குகளையும் ஆறறிவு உடையன என்று கண்டுபிடிக்கலாமல்லவா..?
அறிவியல் நோக்கு :
ஈண்டுத் தொல்காப்பியரின் அறிவியல் அறிவும் ; அவர் வரையறுத்த ஆறறிவுக் கோட்பாடும் அக்கோட்பாட்டிற்கு உரை வகுத்த உரையாசிரியரின் அறிவியல் அறிவுத்திறனும் போற்றுதற்குரியதே. தொல்காப்பியரின் கருத்து உண்மை எனில் அதற்குச் சான்று வேண்டுமே. கீழே ஒரேஒரு சான்று மட்டுமே காட்டியுள்ளேன்.ஏனைய சான்றுகளை என் ”பழந்தமிழ்ப் புலவர்களின் அறிவியல் அறிவாற்றல்” நூலில் கண்டு தெளிக.
